1. Any Technology That Can Be Developed Should Be |
It might have made sense to figure out what were going to do with nuclear waste before we built nuclear plants. We certainly knew that the plants were going to produce nuclear waste with major environmental and health consequences. |
| 2. The Sum Total of the Knowledge of Specialized Experts is Wisdom. |
Knowledge and wisdom is not the same thing. The specialized experts of the modern world have a great deal of knowledge, but to the extent that they have been denied or denied themselves understanding of and access to the spiritual metaphysical aspects of reality, they have limited their ability to transmute their knowledge into wisdom. |
3. People Can Be Treated in Dehumanizing Ways Indefinitely. |
Many a farm tool has been transformed into a weapon because those with wealth and positions of power failed to recognize the inherent limits on the control and oppression of human beings. |
4. Individuals Are Essentially Separate, and So, Have Little Responsibility for Faraway People or Future Generations. |
Knowledge is gained by categorizing, dissecting, and viewing things as separate and unique constituent parts. Wisdom is gained by synthesizing after analyzing. Wisdom lies behind the door labeled ‘holism’ which holds the mysteries and treasures of Interrelatedness, Interconnectedness and Interdependence. Individuals are not essentially separate. We are all connected at a fundamental level. |
5. Nature Is To Be ‘Controlled’ and ‘Exploited’ Rather Than ‘Encouraged’ and ‘Shared’ |
Mother Nature is not mindless matter. Mother Nature is an expression of the spiritual power of the force that is referred to by human beings as “God”. And, “God” governs and sustains Mother Nature through Natural and Spiritual Forces. To be too arrogant towards and oppressive of Mother Nature is to risk the wrath of these Spiritual Forces. |
6. Ever Increasing Economic Growth is Both Possible and Desirable. |
Anyone who tells you that you can have infinite economic growth in a finite material reality is either a fool or perceives you to be one. Mother Nature will have her say in the matter of economic growth, and so will the Spiritual Forces that support her. These premises of the Western Cornucopia Worldview, and others like them, deceive the minds of their possessors into designing dysfunctional organizational systems. |
