Driving Directions From Camp Townsend Winona Road |
From Camp Townsend Winona Road, Turn Left if you are coming from East Flagstaff and Turn Right if you are coming from the Winona Exit off I-40 East (2 miles to the West) from the exit. Go to Miler Marker 437, about 11 miles past T Bows 2 Bar Three Saloon. T Bows will be on your right about ¾ of a mile after you take the right or the left off the Camp Townsend Winona Road on to the Leupp Road. Leupp Road turns into 505 East, which is the state highway that goes to the Navaho Indian Reservation. |
Turn left at the second entrance past the Miler Marker 437. There will be a row of mail boxes on your left after you have turned off the main state highway 505 East, just past Mile Marker 437.

Go 1 and 2/10 of a mile. The road will have a “Y” in it. Stay to the left on 244-A forest service road. There will be signs that say 244-A forest service road markers.

Go 1/10 of a mile and cross a cattle guard. Stay straight on 244-A forest service road. |
At 2 and 2/10 of a mile in, you cross another cattle guard. You will do a 90 degree turn. There will be a fence along the right side of the road after you turn. You will now go about 9/10 of a mile. This part of the road is very curvy. Take the first left at the next “Y” in the road. Follow this winding road until you come to a large barn building through a large ranch wooden gateway.

Go left there and go about 100 yards and take the next right, another 90 degree turn. You will be headed in a Easterly direction. Go another 100 yards and TheWoodShedAZ! day lodge is on your right. Take either driveway. There are two driveways to the day lodge.
