Directions for ATV riders who are camped in the high country off Forrest Road 772 above the Little Cinder Basins or for folks that are camped in the Little Cinder Basins area. These sites are accessed from Flagstaff via 89 – A out of East Flagstaff, just south of Sunset Crater. The Cinder basins ATV-Recreational vehicle park is just south of Sunset Crater. You take a right off 89-A before Sunset Crater to get to the Little Cinder Basins ATV Park areas. Once you are in the ATV / Recreational vehicle park areas and you are camped there, you may access TheWoodShedAZ! Timber Lodge Guest Ranch from that area by the following directions: Go up into the Little Cinder Basins area and drive into the higher altitude areas for about a mile until you get to the high camp areas at the top of the Little Cinder Basins area. This is past all the extreme ATV dune park arenas at the top of the Little Cinder Basins area. When you get to the high camp recreational camping areas at the top you’ll take a right and go on to Forrest Road 772. You will have traveled about 1 mile up from the Little Cinder Basins areas and public campgrounds. Once you are at the top high camp zone and you are basically headed East on the Forrest Road 772, you will be going toward the Navaho Indian Reservation and Merriam and Sheba Crater areas. |

From the high camp zone at the top of the Little Cinder Basins you will go about ½ mile before you come to the first fork in the forest road you are on. |
| - |
You will see that this continues straight or to the right, don’t go to the right. |
| - |
Go another 1/8 to ¼ mile and you will come to another fork in the road. Bear right at this fork. Do not go to the left. |
| - |
Then you will go approximately 2 miles headed in a South Westerly direction. To your left as you travel you will see a large crater appear through the trees to the North east as you are going in the South Easterly direction. That is Merriam Crater. |
| - |
The next milestone is a large circular intersection with four ways. Go around this intersection circle and take the road that continues straight from where you come into the intersection. You will be headed still, in a S outh Easterly direction. |
| - |
You will see vast panoramic desert views to the South and alpine cinder hills views to your left (north easterly and north), etc. |
| - |
You will drive down the hill and go from a South Easterly to an Easterly direction headed toward Merriam Crater and Sheba Crater (gateways into the Navaho Indian Reservation and Grand Falls areas, etc.) |
| - |
You will drive about 1.5 miles to the bottom of this road which becomes a very straight line to a four way intersection at the bottom. Do not go left or right. |
