Winter options in adventure safaris provide optimum deluxe ‘alpine lodge’ accommodations in the area. Removed thirty miles from Flagstaff, the drive to and from the ski areas in winter is provided by TheWoodShedAZ!, lodge skiers shuttle. We provide you a fabulous high desert winter lodging facility, entirely remote yet still in close proximity to down hill skiing at San Fransisco Peaks.
DISTANCE: Out of the lodge door-steps, for cross-country skiers when snow is on the ground. For higher altitudes, we take you via automobile transport, into fabulous territory where you can then ski freely.
ROADS: Unpaved Forrest Roads from our location, in the Outback, to the all cross-country skiing points unless being transported to the North western side of Flagstaff to the alpine cross country Nordic center or to the Arizona Snow bowl.
TOURING: 1, 2 and 3 Day Outback High Alpine Desert Adventure Safari trips to and from TheWoodShedAZ!™ luxury Timber-lodge base, desert spa. Simultaneous day and evening access to the City of Flagstaff, Arizona and Sedona, Arizona with in-depth touring of surrounding National Monuments and Parks, where possible in winters.
EQUIPMENT & STAFF: Company (StaffXtreme™) full courtesy support crew! Suburban four wheel drive excursion vehicle loaded at all times with your choices, in beverages and food, professional, friendly and discreet guides, plus all gear needed for camping at Mountain Biking Park areas. SNOWSKIING ADVENTURE
Put your cross country skis on right outside the front door. If we need to take you to higher ground, your ride takes you up country just behind the lodge, through vast high desert territory and then, when you reach the bottom, you tell us where else you’d like to be taken to. Not into cross-country skiing? Then we can take you to the Arizona Snow Bowl. After a snow storm here, one can experience some of the driest snow in the world.
