The Woodshed AZ - Directions to TheWoodshedAZ On the 89-A Roadway Out of East Flagstaff

Turn left at the second entrance past the Miler Marker 437. There will be a row of mail boxes on your left after you have turned off the main state highway 505 East, just past Mile Marker 437.

Go 1 and 2/10 of a mile. The road will have a “Y” in it. Stay to the left on 244-A forest service road. There will be signs that say 244-A forest service road markers.

Go 1/10 of a mile and cross a cattle guard. Stay straight on 244-A forest service road.

You will now go on Forrest Road 244-A. You will travel past two more cattle guards, staying to your left the entire time. At the second cattle guard you will take a 90 degree right, travel another 1 mile until you come to the Y in the road. You will then turn right at the Y in the road and wind your way about ¾ mile until you come to a large barn. You will then go left at the barn, travel another 100 yards and take a 90 degree right. You will then travel another 300 yards headed due West and at the top of that rise, you will see Merriam Crater, and to your right is TheWoodShedAZ!™ Timber Lodge.

You will see an authentic Native American Tipi on the rise in front of you. There are two driveways and 40 acres of deluxe camp grounds for you to enjoy thereThe location is about 3.8 miles off State route 505 from the 437 mile marker on State route 505. (Please inquire as to exact directions and we will fax them to you). The trip to this location by paved road is about 30 minutes out of East Flagstaff. If you are coming via Interstate 40 headed east, the leg from there out of West Flagstaff is about 30 minutes. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the location if you are coming in from the Winona Exit off Interstate 40, headed East to Albuquerque from Flagstaff.

Groups may book into the campground sites for instance and arrange to have the Timber lodge booked for their guests as a “public house” for entertainment, rest and relaxation in the large hot tub on the decks and take showers, etc. Broadband internet is also available to guests.
